ipinfo.app is an independent, free-to-use suite of IP address utilities built and maintained by Cameron Munroe. No accounts, no tracking, no paywalls.
The project started in 2015 as a simple ASN blocklist tool at enjen.net/asn-blocklist/ —
born out of a real operational need to block nefarious networks at the firewall level without doing all
the research by hand. It moved to asn.ipinfo.app in 2019 as the broader ipinfo.app suite
took shape around it, and was fully rewritten in Node.js in 2026 with a new data backend purpose-built
for the job. Over a decade in, it still serves the same audience it always did: network operators,
security researchers, and anyone who needs to understand what's behind an IP or an ASN.
